"Push or Listen" by Susan Pearl

I have been told several times in my lifetime to "push through the pain"--

I know there are times to push through pain will make more endurance for next time--

But---I have to say ---that I do not push through pain--I "listen to it". In my opinion there are times for athletic or conditioning purposes to push through the pain but there are times to stop and listen to the pain.  I say to "Listen to your body and be aware of your what it is telling you because you are the only one who really knows your body and you have nothing to prove until you know what is best for you to do.

 With keeping with "the pearl" being the birthstone for the month of June-- and using this theme of surrounding an irritation or a discomfort with a built in self defense mechanism like of "the mother of pearl" substance that is released by the oyster bringing relief to the pain caused by a grain of sand --- then  this process with time forms a beautiful pearl --- something so rare and hard to find has come to be;

It is painful for anyone to feel like they do not belong,    

   because "to belong" is an important connection to life.

But to feel like you don't belong doesn't mean that something is wrong,

IT MEANS YOU KNOW YOUR TRUE IDENTITY

  AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT YOU TO BE.

To know your true identity shows you a path that only you can go.

A path that has a brighter and brighter way of individual growth to know.....so...

Surround feelings of not belonging,

 with knowing and respecting your own true identity

and an enriching individual personalized connection to a wonderful life journey will come.

In my opinion; 

To face fear takes courage-

To rise above fear takes bravery-

To overcome fear takes the highest rank of selflessness. 

Such selflessness is of noble character and great virtue-   

   and gives all there is to give, no matter what.

"Circumstances Determine Opposites" by Susan Pearl

 How far is less than one half of an inch?

If a person is reaching for something and cannot reach it by just less than one half of an inch it seems too far away. 

If a person missed having a life threatening injury by less than one half of an inch it seems too close for comfort.

How far is less than one half of an inch?  It is too far or too close depending on the circumstance.

Isn't it something that the same words can mean total opposites?  Time and circumstance determines the meaning for us.

In keeping with "the pearl" being the birthstone for June and using this theme to surround an irritation and a discomfort with a self defense mechanism like "the mother of pearl" substance surrounds the grain of sand to relieve the pain and then with time a beautiful pearl comes to be or a beautiful aspect of life will come. 

Surround feelings of sadness with the facts for which we should be grateful and a joy for life will come.

Surround the things and people that are bringing you down with a changed environment that is non toxic and the lifting of your spirit to be new and vibrant will come. 

Surround your declines with a plan to maintain what is left and improve upon it, with having choices along with support systems and a quality of life will come.

Surround doubt with faith, hope and love and a true assurance will come. 

Surround uncertainty with what you know to be true and then a knowing of what to do will come.

Surround overwhelming unrealistic expectations with a knowing of time and physical limits guideline and a manageable balance of work and rest (that includes taking care of oneself) will come.

Surround confusion with common sense and staying within hearing distance of the voice of reason and a calmer atmosphere will come.

 

"Surround" by Susan Pearl

 June is a special month for me because the pearl is the birthstone for the month.  In fact, it was on a calendar the facts about the birthstone of the month is where I first read about the formation of the pearl inside the oyster.  The pearl begins from having a discomfort that has to be lived with.  The mother of pearl substance is released and covers (surrounds) the grain of sand that is causing the discomfort and with time this mother of pearl forms a valuable gem "the pearl" that is rare, unique and in itself very hard to find.

With that in mind I have used that thought as a base and expanded upon it for today's blog. Enjoy.
