She made a chicken pot pie but she didn't have much chicken,
So when she served the pot pie there was a paltry amount of poultry,
A paltry amount of poultry was fine because she did the best she could do,
Working with what she had and by being creative she managed her way through,
And I admire people who think and work that way,
It was called "making do" in my day.

Dec.10- "Wait It Out" By Susan Pearl
Last week the news reported that a hoax had been played,
One victim of this hoax commited sucide in three days.
What I would like to say today,
Is that if anyone anywhere who, right now, is filled with despair,
With a feeling of it's the end of a rope with no glimmer of hope,
Please listen to what I say- "You are not always going to feel this way",
"You are not always going to feel this way,"
"Yes, you will not always feel the way you are feeling right now this day",
It will pass--and just wait it out, yes, it will change-- wait it out--that is what I ask,
It's alright to take the time to wait it out---yes, wait out the fogging thoughts of self doubt,
By giving yourself time, there will come for you a new clear peace of mind,
So, wait it out----I know what I'm talking about.

Dec.7- "No Snow Yet" By Susan Pearl
I think with this lack of moisture and drought conditions,
The expression-"I feel snowed under"-
Instead of being a complaint- it is now becoming a real wish,
Realizing the times of having to "dig out" from being under so much is worth every arm swing,
Because the work and the efforts are far out weighed by the good benefits such conditions bring.

Dec.6- "Even Keel While Climbing Up Hill" By Susan Pearl
Electronic equipment can be protected from a power surge,
This protection has to be put in place and when needed it will activate,
We can be protected from a compulsive urge,
Our peace has to be in center place, and it will not allow things to gravitate,
But hold strong and keep things on an even keel,
Even though we are on an even keel it can feel like we are climbing up a very steep hill.

Dec.5- "No One Is Perfect" By Susan Pearl
If you are looking for a perfect person,
You will not find one,
Like I have heard it said so many times,
"I have never met a perfect person,
But I sure have met some who thought they were."
You will not find one,
Like I have heard it said so many times,
"I have never met a perfect person,
But I sure have met some who thought they were."

Dec.4- "ConversationTime" By Susan Pearl
It seems so inmaterial to talk about materialistic things,
Let's talk about the faith we have for hopes to be,
And the love it takes to solve the problems we see.

And the love it takes to solve the problems we see.

Dec.3- "Silly Me" By Susan Pearl
Silly me--
I took a different way but I knew my way back,
So I came back but it didn't seem the same,
Silly me,
I went my way, again, but I thought I knew my way back at any time.,
And next time back things would be just like before I thought for sure,
Silly me,
But I decided not to find my way back because I wasn't ready to leave,
I couldn't see that something different had come to be,
And that "something different" was a change in me,
Silly me,
On and on I went, without regret, until a time came,
When I realized that I was no longer the same,
Silly me,
Too much time had past and things for me couldn't be like before,
I didn't want to go back because I had found the life I was looking for,
Finally, silly me had learned a lot,
But, by choosing a different way was I really silly or was I not?
I think the silly part for me,
Was thinking that things could be the way they used to be.
I took a different way but I knew my way back,
So I came back but it didn't seem the same,
Silly me,
